flock - a sociable web browser

Flock's social web browser is worth a look. They have just released v1.0.1, and the browser is looking really nice. It is based on firefox, but automatically detects and allows you to interact with news feeds, photo and media feeds from flickr, facebook and you tube.

Nice blog editor and web clipboard which works with wordpress, typepad, blogger and others. Hover over a photo, or right click on a web page and chose 'blog this'. Flock's people sidebar can show a combined list of recent messages from facebook, flickr, twitter and youtube. Clicking on the star in the toolbar allows you to bookmark sites, and also in one step to send the link to del.icio.us or magnolia. One tip - click the star once and check 'show this dialog when adding favorites'. That way you can right click on links, favorite them and optionally tag them and send them to your online service. oh - and since browser is based on Mozilla Firefox codebase, Flock is available for Mac, Windows and Linux

Fast Food Delivery : the fourth emergency service

A lovely Curry Take-Away called Splendid in Leuchers came to my rescue tonight.

I was left on a platform waiting for a train in St Andrews after a meeting had lasted way too long, and I found that the next train would get me home after 8pm.  Not good.  Kate suggested ordering out: was there a local take-away which would deliver to the platform?

Spendid certainly managed this, just under 15 minutes later a car drew up at the taxi rank and what appeared to be the chef popped out and handed me the very hot curry, in exchange for a very small amount of cash.
